Hold On, the Light Will Come

Well since my last post a lot has gone on.  I found out my finger has been broken for the past month and I may have to get surgery and I don't have insurance (Freaking out? Maybe a little). There have been personal struggles as well that I think just come with going on a mission.  This week I have learned that Satan's power is REAL and he knows our potential just as well as our Father in Heaven and he is trying so hard to keep us from reaching that potential.  I have felt the influence of Satan so strongly this last week and I know he is trying to keep me from accomplishing something great.  As I was struggling towards the end of this last week, two of my favorite girls in my ward sang a BEAUTIFUL song during Sacrament Meeting that completely changed my week.  I felt like that song was the catalyst to my change of heart and I will forever be grateful to those two sisters (shout out to Heather and Nikki!) for listening to the Spirit's prompting to share this song with me.  Here is a video of Jessie Clark Funk's version of the Michael Mclean song, "Hold On, The Light Will Come."  I'm going to attach the lyrics as well because they are so powerful to me.  Click on the following link for the youtube with the song set to some beautiful images.  I know that all of us have a potential that may be hard to realize at times, but that we can reach in this life and we have a loving Father in Heaven that is helping us along the way.  At times our lives may seem dark but if we just hold on, I know the light will come.

The message of this moment is so clear;
And as certain as the rising of the sun.
If your world is filled with darkness doubt and fear,
Just hold on, Hold on; the light will come.
Ev'ryone who's ever tried and failed
Stands much taller when the victory's won.
And those who've been in darkness for a while
Kneel much longer when the light has come.

It's a lesson ev'ry one of us must learn;
That the answers never come without a fight.
And when it seems you've struggled far too long,
Just hold on, hold on; there will be light.

Hold on. Hold on. The light will come.

When you feel trapped inside a never-ending night.
If you've forgotten how it feels to feel the light,
If you're half crazy thinking you're the only one
Who's afraid the light will never really come

Just hold on. Hold on! The light will come.

The message of this moment is so clear;
And as certain as the rising of the sun.
If your world is filled with darkness doubt and fear.
Just hold on, hold on, the light will come

In All Things Give Praise

I have a strong belief that we need to share our talents and use them for good.  I am dedicating this blog to all of the ways I find in my life to give praise and to show my gratitude to my Father in Heaven.

I don't like to share personal choreography much if ever but this is just a little snippet that I think expresses so well my life the past few years.  I love the lyrics to this song, I think of it as a personal prayer set to movement.  It's no SYTYCD but it's me.
